Booking terms

The rules of booking with us, written to be read rather than skimmed. If something here surprises you, ask before you pay.

Last updated: 23 September 2026Applies to bookings made on moroccotiziri.com, by email or WhatsApp
The short version
  • 30% deposit confirms. Balance on departure day (14 days before for Elite).
  • Free cancellation up to 48 hours before on shared tours, 7 days on private tours and 20 days on Elite journeys. After that: deposit kept.
  • Changes are free up to 72 hours before, subject to availability.
  • If we cancel, you get everything back plus 10% compensation. If weather changes the plan, we refund what we cannot deliver.
  • You need travel insurance and a valid passport. We are not an insurer.
  • Complaints: tell us during the tour, or write within 30 days. We reply within 14.

01Who we are and what these terms cover

These terms apply to every tour, day trip and tailor-made journey sold by [Legal company name], trading as Morocco Tiziri, a tour operator registered in Marrakech, Morocco (RC [number], tourism licence [number]). “We”, “us” and “our” mean the company; “you” means the person who makes the booking and everyone travelling under it. By paying a deposit you accept these terms on behalf of your whole group.

02How a booking is made

A booking exists when three things have happened: you have approved a written itinerary and price (by email or WhatsApp), we have confirmed availability in writing, and we have received your deposit. Until then nothing is reserved and no payment is due.

The itinerary we confirm is the contract. Anything not written in it (an extra stop, a specific room, an upgrade) is not included unless we add it in writing.

03Prices and what they include

Prices are shown in euros, per person, and are based on the number of travellers stated. Private tour “from” prices are based on two travellers; the price for your group is the one on your confirmation. Prices include everything listed under “Included” on the tour page and on your itinerary: vehicle and driver-guide, fuel and tolls, the named accommodation and meals, and activities marked as included.

Prices do not include flights, travel insurance, meals and drinks not listed, entrance fees unless listed, optional activities, tips, or personal expenses. Moroccan VAT is included where applicable.

We may correct an obvious pricing error before you pay a deposit. Once a deposit is paid the price is fixed, except for changes you request (see section 6).

Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store card numbers. Bank charges for international transfers are yours.

After the tour has startedNo refund for unused services, unless section 8 applies

Cancellations must be in writing (email or WhatsApp) and are effective when we acknowledge them. Bookings for 8 or more travellers may have their own cancellation terms, stated on the proposal.

We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation; we do not sell it.

06Changes by you

Up to 72 hours before departure you may change dates, the number of travellers or the itinerary, subject to availability. If the change increases the price, you pay the difference; if it reduces it, we refund the difference or credit it. Changes inside 72 hours are handled as a cancellation and a new booking, except small changes on the day that your driver-guide can accommodate at no cost.

07Changes and cancellation by us

We do not cancel confirmed tours for commercial reasons. If we must cancel for a reason within our control, you receive a full refund of everything paid, plus 10% of the amount paid as compensation. If we must change a significant element (a named accommodation, the route, the length), we tell you as soon as we know and offer an equivalent or better alternative, or a refund of the difference.

For shared tours, if the minimum of 2 travellers is not reached, we may offer the same itinerary as a private tour at a supplement, or a full refund, at your choice, at least 48 hours before departure.

08Weather, roads and events outside our control

Snow on the Tizi n'Tichka pass, sandstorms, road closures, strikes, epidemics and similar events are outside our control. In these cases we re-route, delay or shorten the tour to keep you safe, and refund any night or service we cannot deliver and could not replace. We are not liable for further costs (missed flights, extra hotel nights) arising from such events; this is what travel insurance is for.

09Your responsibilities

  • Give us accurate names, contact details, dietary needs, mobility limitations and any medical condition relevant to a long drive or a night in the desert.
  • Hold a valid passport and any visa needed for Morocco, and travel insurance.
  • Be at the agreed pick-up point at the agreed time; delays over 30 minutes may shorten the day's programme.
  • Follow the safety instructions of the driver-guide and the camp staff, in particular on camels, quads and dunes.
  • Respect the accommodation, the vehicle and local customs. We may end a tour without refund for behaviour that endangers others.

10Children

Children are welcome on private tours from the age of 5 and on shared tours from about 5 (6 on the Agadir routes, 12 on the Toubkal trek). Child seats are provided free on request. Children under 18 must travel with an adult who accepts these terms on their behalf. Some activities (quad, buggy) have provider age limits we cannot override.

11Accommodation and vehicles

The accommodation named on your itinerary is the accommodation you get. If it becomes unavailable for reasons outside our control, we provide one of equal or higher standard and tell you before departure where possible. Vehicles are ours, insured for passenger transport in Morocco, and maintained on a schedule; if a vehicle breaks down we provide a replacement at no cost to you.

12Liability

We are responsible for the services we provide with reasonable care and skill, and for the acts of our employees and drivers acting within their duties. We are not liable for loss or damage caused by you, by a third party unconnected with our services, or by events we could not foresee or avoid. Our liability for any claim is limited to the price you paid for the tour, except where the law does not allow such a limit (death or personal injury caused by our negligence). Optional activities run by third parties (quad, buggy, hot-air balloon, hammam) are subject to those providers' terms.

13Complaints

Tell your driver-guide or your planner during the tour; most problems can be fixed the same day. If you are not satisfied, write to [email] within 30 days of the end of the tour with your booking reference. We reply within 14 days. We would rather refund a night than argue about it.

14Photos and reviews

Any photo of you that we would like to use in marketing will only be used with your written permission. Reviews you post on Google or TripAdvisor may be quoted on our site with your first name and country; tell us if you prefer not.

15Law and language

These terms are governed by Moroccan law. The courts of Marrakech have jurisdiction, without prejudice to consumer rights that apply in your country of residence. These terms are written in English; if we provide a translation and there is a conflict, the English version prevails.

Questions about these terms: hello@moroccotiziri.com. This page is a template drafted for Morocco Tiziri; have it reviewed by a Moroccan lawyer before publication, and replace every [placeholder].
