What it is
A camp run by the people whose names are on it, with the attention that brings: tea when you arrive, a fire when it is cold, dinner served rather than laid out, and staff who remember what you asked for at breakfast. Tents are private and en-suite; the camp is small enough that you know where everyone is. On Elite journeys it is the alternative to the designed camps for guests who value warmth over polish.
