What it is
You arrive around 18:30 after Aït Ben Haddou and the kasbah road, and the riad does what a first night should: shows you a room with a proper bathroom, serves dinner on a terrace or by the fire, and lets you sleep. It is family-run — the same people cook, serve and wake you — with a garden, a small pool in season and the valley cliffs across the river. Breakfast at 07:30, then the Dades Gorge and Todra.

To be honest
- A valley riad, not a Marrakech one: simpler rooms, water pressure that varies, evenings that are quiet because there is nothing else. In winter the valley is cold; rooms have heaters or stoves.
- Dinner is around 19:30–20:00; tell us in advance if you are vegetarian or vegan.
- Bring a layer for the terrace even in summer.
- Cash for extras; card.
