The three
From Marrakech there are three day trips worth the name: Aït Ben Haddou over the Tichka pass (a kasbah and the mountains), the Ouzoud waterfalls (water and walking), and the Ourika Valley (an easy afternoon an hour away). Anything called a "desert day trip" is Agafay — an hour away, made of stone — and worth an evening, not a day.

Aït Ben Haddou
The most driving and the most to show for it: the pass, the ksar with a guide, lunch facing it. Ouzoud
